How to Speed Up Downloads when Using Internet Download Manager

Check your IDM connection settings. If you’re using broadband connection, select a high-bandwidth connection type in the "Options > Connection" dialogue.

Increase the "Default max. conn. number." Open “IDMan.exe,” go to the “Options” tab, click on the “Connection” tab, and change the "Default max. conn. number" from 8 to 32. and Click on "OK."

Turn off the “Speed Limiter.” Open “IDMan.exe,” go to the Download menu in the menu bar, click on the "Speed Limiter" tab, and select "Turn off."

Free up space. Just delete other downloaded items from IDM, and lessen the items on the IDM queue.
